Description: Immediate start needed. Manager interviews will be conducted. The facility has 64 licensed beds and operates with a variety of surgical teams. Staff includes CRNAs, RNs, PAs, and CST students, but no residents. There are four operating rooms available. Experience with adult and pediatric cases is required, but pediatric cases are minimal. Surgical specialties include general surgeries such as open and laparoscopic procedures for bowel, gallbladder, appendices, hernias, portacath, and fistulas. Urology procedures include laser lithotripsy, nephroureteral stent insertion/removal, vasectomies, and TURPs. ENT procedures involve TAs, endoscopic sinus surgeries, facial lesion removals, thyroids, and neck dissections. OB/GYN procedures include C-sections, tubal ligations, D&C, DE, hysteroscopies, hysterectomies, and uterine ablations. Orthopedic cases consist of total joints (knees and hips), fractures, and ACL repairs, with some exposure to podiatry expected. Endoscopy experience is not required, but EGDs and colonoscopies are performed. Robotics experience is not needed. There are no conscious sedation cases. All staff assist in turning over rooms. The average number of cases performed per day is around 25. Required skills for RNs include experience with the above case types. Scrub experience is preferred but not required; circulating experience is acceptable. Experience with total joints, podiatry, or endoscopy cases is not mandatory, but willingness to be trained is essential. Comfort with at least open abdominal cases and a readiness to learn C-section procedures is necessary. Support on the unit includes supervisors, CRNAs, anesthesiologists, charge RNs, resource nurses, and an OR educator. Technology includes EMR: Cerner or EPIC, IV pumps, and medication dispensing systems. Floating to inpatient areas may occur as assistance without assuming patient assignments. The schedule includes Monday to Friday operating hours, with call required for RNs and CSTs. Average call shifts are 6-7 per month, with weekday shifts typically 1-2. Weekend call occurs approximately every 4th or 5th weekend. Response time for call is 20 minutes. A sleep room is available based on facility availability. Holiday call may be required but not guaranteed. Requests for time off require manager approval. Surgical scrubs will be provided.
