Travel Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist - $2,140 per week

Overview Jackson Therapy Partners is seeking a travel Outpatient Physical Therapist for a 26‑week assignment in Palm Desert, California. The role requires 40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts, and offers weekly pay. Responsibilities Treat patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and joint replacement surgeries. Manage an independent caseload without aide or PTA oversight. Work in a clinic equipped with a main treatment gym, private rooms, and an aquatic therapy pool. Collaborate with a team of six therapists during peak season. Minimum Qualifications Degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral) from an accredited program. Active California PT license prior to the start of the assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Experience in outpatient orthopedic or private practice settings preferred. Experience treating post‑operative joint replacement patients and non‑operative orthopedic injuries preferred. Ability to manage an independent caseload without aides or PTA oversight. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in clinics with treatment gyms, private rooms, and aquatic therapy. Comfort with a mixed surgical and non‑surgical caseload (≈60/40 split). Experience maintaining productivity expectations (≈11 patients per day) and completing documentation within allotted time. Assignment Details Schedule: Monday‑Friday, approximately 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM. Clinicians maintain their own caseload; vacation coverage is the only expected patient reassignment. No aides treat patients and no double booking.
