Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring each resident receives personalized care appropriate to their recovery needs.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility interventions while carefully monitoring their progress and providing encouragement.
• Document patient sessions in adherence to hospital protocols and clearly communicate updates on patient progress to the multidisciplinary care team.
• Ensure the rehabilitation environment is safe and motivational, utilizing positive reinforcement and a supportive attitude to engage patients effectively.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other therapists to foster a holistic approach to recovery, enhancing communication and optimizing each patient's therapeutic experience.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to treatment planning discussions, bringing valuable insights from direct patient interactions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Virginia; candidates eligible for licensure will also be considered.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
