Business Development Leader - West

What you´ll do

The Business Development Leader - West is an HQ-based strategic role focused on accelerating growth across key customers, including Costco, Target, Amazon, and Albertsons. This leader partners with customer teams and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute customer strategies, strengthen omni-commerce capabilities, improve broker effectiveness, advance Joint Business Planning, and build long-term innovation plans.

• Lead strategic projects for priority West and national customers, aligned with customer needs and company growth priorities. 
• Develop customer-specific omni-commerce and eCommerce strategies across the digital shelf, retail media, content, search, and fulfillment.
• Partner with account teams to strengthen Joint Business Planning and translate strategies into clear priorities, actions, and measures. 
• Build long-term customer innovation plans by connecting brand pipelines with shopper, category, and channel opportunities.
• Improve broker and external partner effectiveness through clear expectations, operating routines, performance measures, and follow-up. 
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project plans and risks, and provide concise updates and recommendations to leadership. 
• Use customer, financial, market, and performance data to identify opportunities and measure results.

What makes you a good fit

• 5–10+ years of experience in CPG, retail, customer development, eCommerce, strategy, or a related commercial field. 
• Experience working with large retailers such as Costco, Target, Amazon, Albertsons, or comparable customers.
• Strong understanding of customer strategy, Joint Business Planning, omni-commerce, retail media, and innovation commercialization.
• Ability to lead complex projects, influence across functions, and create clarity in a matrixed organization. 
• Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to turn data into focused recommendations.
• Executive-level communication and presentation skills, with advanced PowerPoint and Excel capability.

The salary range for this role is $140,000.00-$170,000.  This range represents the good‑faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable.  The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
