Established (25+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney for Civil and Commercial Litigation Hybrid in Los Angeles, California!

An established boutique litigation firm based in Los Angeles, California, with over 16 years in practice is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of relevant civil litigation experience to join its team in a hybrid capacity. This position will involve business litigation, real estate litigation, commercial collections, bankruptcy litigation, insurance coverage, product liability, appellate matters, class action defense, and sports and entertainment disputes. The Associate Attorney will work closely with partners and other associates throughout every phase of litigation, from case inception through resolution in state courts, federal courts, and arbitration proceedings.

Offer

-Salary range: $135,000-$175,000+, contingent on experience

-Monthly bonuses for billable hours exceeding 150 hours per month

-Origination bonuses ranging from 10%-20% for clients brought to the firm

-Incentive compensation that has historically increased annual associate earnings by approximately 7%-15% above base salary

-Hybrid schedule with three days per week in the Los Angeles office-Full flexibility to select in-office days without advance approval

Qualifications

-Admission to and good standing with the California State Bar is required

-Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school is required, with graduation from a top 100 law school preferred

-1-4 years of relevant civil litigation experience in a law firm setting is required

-Experience with business litigation, real estate litigation, commercial collections, bankruptcy litigation, insurance coverage, product liability, appellate matters, class action defense, or sports and entertainment disputes is preferred

-Hands-on experience drafting motions, managing discovery, and making court appearances is strongly preferred

-Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills are required

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

-Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and deadline management is required

-Ability to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities effectively is required

-Self-directed approach to assignments combined with the ability to collaborate effectively with partners, associates, clients, and professional staff is required

-Interest in developing litigation capabilities, accepting increasing responsibility, and growing with the firm is required

Responsibilities

-Assist with civil and commercial litigation matters from initial case assessment through settlement, arbitration, trial, or other resolution

-Draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other state and federal court filings

-Conduct detailed legal research and prepare clear written analyses addressing complex factual and legal issues

-Manage document discovery, evaluate evidence, coordinate productions, and assist with discovery-related disputes

-Prepare for and attend court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences

-Assist partners and senior attorneys with trial strategy, witness preparation, exhibit management, and other trial preparation activities

-Develop case strategies that align with client objectives and support efficient resolution at the earliest appropriate opportunity

-Communicate with clients regarding case developments, litigation strategy, deadlines, and recommended next steps

-Work directly with partners and other associates across the firm's litigation and advisory practice areas

-Maintain accurate case files, calendars, time entries, and internal matter updates

-Meet monthly billable-hour expectations while producing timely and high-quality legal work

-Participate in networking, professional development, CLE programs, and business development activities

-Contribute to the firm's collaborative culture and long-term client relationships
