Pay & Benefits

• Salary Range: $100,588 to $143,769 annually, based on experience

What You'll Do

• Provide expert perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients, emphasizing a patient-first approach
• Assist in complex cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting in procedures
• Manage ICU and surgical floor patient care, including rounding and evaluations in CVICU and clinics
• Participate in two full-day clinics weekly and conduct patient follow-ups
• Rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and healthcare teams in a multidisciplinary setting
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Develop detailed patient care plans and follow-up strategies
• Prescribe medications within policy and regulatory guidelines
• Perform bedside procedures appropriate to cardiac patient care
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain compliance

What You Need

Required:

• Valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU patient management
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to operate independently under physician supervision

Preferred:

• Experience with cardiovascular procedures and perioperative care
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
