The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Muskegon seeking EDM Operators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor EDM machinery for precision manufacturing.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of EDM equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to program EDM operations.
- Inspect finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy using various measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EDM machine operation and part quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize EDM processes.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years experience operating EDM machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of G-code programming and machine setup
- Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with laser alignment tools
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
- Proficiency in a CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
- Certification in a related field (e.g., NIMS, Tool and Die Making)
