Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.
• Perform simulations and collision detection to validate programs.
• Optimize tool paths and machining parameters for efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists on process improvements.
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and tooling lists.
• Troubleshoot and debug programs during first-off production runs.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in CNC programming for 3-axis mills.
• Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming.
• Expertise with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
• Experience with machine setup and operation for program prove-out.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for model review and tool path verification.
• Familiarity with a variety of machine controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Haas) beyond primary expertise.
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code editing and optimization directly at the machine.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
