Communications & Marketing Specialist

NC State University is hiring a Communications & Marketing Specialist for the Institute for Transportation Research & Education (ITRE). The specialist will lead strategic planning, execution, and optimization of campaigns and communications across multiple platforms while collaborating with teams to enhance ITRE's visibility. This role includes content creation, social media management, email newsletter development, SEO optimization, evaluation reporting, and event support. Highlights Develop and manage marketing campaigns and communications for ITRE programs and events. Create digital ads, outreach materials, graphics, and short-form videos for public outreach. Collaborate with graphic designers and video producers on marketing content. Manage social media content, community engagement, and execute social media strategy. Write and manage email newsletters and maintain contact lists. Optimize website and campaign content for SEO; assess communication effectiveness and assist with quarterly reports. Attend ITRE-sponsored events to document and promote activities. Requires bachelor's degree and two years of related experience or equivalent. Experience in digital marketing, social media management, SEO/SEM, content editing, and communication skills required. Preferred skills include behavior change communication, video production, graphic design, and paid advertising experience.
