Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Post Acute Job Type: PRN | Nights Schedule: 3x12 every 6 weeks, 7p-7a, 1 weekend every 6 weeks Your experience matters Highpoint Health Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. How you'll contribute As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with scope and standards of practice. Under RN or Charge Nurse, contributes to assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN. Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication; documents patient care given. Assists RN with development of plan of care. Assists patients with activities of daily living: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient’s status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families. Works as advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and capability to work in a stressful environment. One-year previous experience preferred.
