We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy AI Designer to join our team full-time in a hybrid role based in New York City.

This position requires four days per week in our NYC office, with one day per week working remotely.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Designer who combines strong graphic design skills with advanced AI design tools and an understanding of product development and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating product artwork, packaging designs, technical specifications, and detailed factory-ready tech packs for our product lines.

This is a hands-on position requiring someone who can turn ideas, reference images, and product concepts into professional designs and accurate production files that factories can use to manufacture our products.

The candidate must be comfortable using AI to accelerate the creative process while maintaining precision, consistency, and production-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Packaging Design

* Design and develop packaging, product graphics, labels, logos, and artwork for pet care and automotive products.

* Create new product concepts and improve existing designs using AI-powered design tools.

* Develop multiple design variations, colorways, and product presentations.

* Create realistic product mockups and renderings for internal review and factory reference.

* Ensure all designs are visually appealing, commercially competitive, and consistent with brand guidelines.

Factory Tech Packs & Production Files

* Create comprehensive, factory-ready tech packs with all necessary manufacturing details using Ai tools

* Prepare accurate artwork files, packaging dielines, dimensions, measurements, material specifications, and color references.

* Develop product specification sheets, including construction details, finishes, labeling, and packaging requirements.

* Ensure artwork is correctly positioned and sized on factory-provided dielines.

* Prepare production-ready Adobe Illustrator files, PDFs, and other required manufacturing formats.

* Communicate design details clearly to overseas factories and make revisions based on factory feedback.

* Review factory samples and proofs to ensure finished products match approved designs.

AI Design & Creative Development

* Utilize AI tools such as Chatgpt, Claude, Adobe Firefly, and other emerging platforms to generate concepts, artwork, and product visuals.

* Combine AI-generated artwork with professional design software to create polished, editable, production-ready files.

* Use AI to improve efficiency, accelerate product development, and explore creative design directions.

* Stay current with new AI design technologies and incorporate useful tools into the company’s workflow.

Product Development & Collaboration

* Collaborate directly with management and product development teams.

* Translate product ideas and reference images into fully developed design concepts.

* Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

* Make revisions quickly and accurately based on internal and factory feedback.

* Maintain organized design files, tech packs, and artwork libraries.

* Participate in in-person product development meetings, design reviews, and sample evaluations.

Qualifications & Requirements

* Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

* Experience using AI-powered design and image-generation tools.

* Proven experience in product packaging, consumer goods, or manufacturing-related design.

* Ability to create professional, detailed tech packs and factory-ready production artwork.

* Strong understanding of packaging dielines, print production, dimensions, color specifications, and file preparation.

* Ability to work with existing CAD drawings, dielines, and factory templates.

* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications accurately.

* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

* Ability to work independently, take direction, and deliver projects efficiently.

* Experience communicating with overseas manufacturers is a plus.

* Experience designing pet products, automotive accessories, or other consumer packaged goods is a plus.

* Must be available to work four days per week in our New York City office.

We need a designer who can take an idea all the way to production.

The ideal candidate understands the difference between a visual concept and a manufacturable product. They must be able to use AI creatively while also producing precise, editable artwork and detailed technical documentation that a factory can follow.
