Executive Chef

A premier hospitality brand in Kansas City is seeking an Executive Chef to lead culinary operations across a dynamic, high-volume dining and catering business. This high-impact leadership position oversees a talented culinary team while driving systems development, operational discipline, and creative menu planning. Executive Chef Responsibilities: Manage all culinary activities, processes, and training for kitchen teams across high-volume dining and catering brands. Oversee, coach, and mentor an established culinary leadership structure, including Executive Sous Chefs and hourly Sous Chefs. Drive daily food production while maintaining strict oversight of food costs, labor budgets, quality standards, and presentation. Direct high-volume event execution, including large-scale on-site and off-site plated catering events for 500+ guests. Maintain complete ownership of menu creation and development in collaboration with senior sales and operations leadership. Ensure full compliance with Health Department, OSHA, and corporate sanitation and safety regulations. Executive Chef Qualifications: Progressive culinary leadership experience managing high-volume operations generating at least $10M in annual revenue. Passion for training and development. Demonstrated expertise in executing large-scale catering and plated events for groups of 500 or more guests. Proven track record in developing kitchen systems, controlling operational costs, and mentoring culinary staff. Active ServSafe certification or ability to certify during onboarding. Base Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 annually. Bonus: Uncapped quarterly bonus program based on sales growth and profitability, forecasted at $10,000 - $20,000 annually.
