About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Information Security to establish and lead its enterprise security program. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader with a hands-on approach, capable of developing and executing security strategies that align with business objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the security function from the ground up, including defining roles, hiring and developing talent, and ensuring security is a top priority at all levels of the organization. Key responsibilities include managing security operations, leading incident response efforts, and establishing security policies that balance risk with operational efficiency. The role also involves maturing risk management capabilities and fostering a security-aware culture as the company grows. Applicants for the Vice President of Information Security position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in information security, with at least 4 years in leadership roles. A proven track record in building or maturing a security program is essential, as is experience with security environments and technical depth in SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, and incident response. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in security frameworks such as NIST CSF and CIS Controls, and hold a CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification. Strong executive communication skills, as well as experience in budget and vendor management, are also required. The role demands a leader who can partner with various stakeholders to ensure security is integrated into the company's operations and who is adept at presenting security posture and risk recommendations to executive leadership.
