THE OPPORTUNITY

The Seattle Majestics are seeking a Volunteer Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive leadership team and help lead the day-to-day business operations of our women’s tackle football organization.

We’re looking for a leader, organizer, and problem-solver who can turn ideas into action, establish accountability, and help build the operational structure needed to grow the Majestics on and off the field.

Football experience is not required. Leadership and execution are.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The COO will work directly with ownership and organizational leaders to:

· Oversee day-to-day business and organizational operations.

· Establish clear priorities, responsibilities, timelines, and accountability.

· Lead regular operational and leadership meetings.

· Coordinate communication across business, football, and volunteer leadership.

· Oversee planning and execution of home-game operations.

· Support sponsorship fulfillment, ticketing, merchandise, events, fundraising, and other revenue initiatives.

· Help recruit, organize, and develop volunteers and department leaders.

· Identify operational gaps and implement practical solutions.

· Assist ownership with budgeting, strategic planning, and long-term organizational growth.

WHO WE NEED

We’re looking for someone who:

· Has strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

· Can manage multiple priorities and keep projects moving forward.

· Is comfortable setting expectations and holding people accountable.

· Takes initiative and solves problems without needing constant direction.

· Can effectively lead and collaborate within a volunteer-based organization.

· Believes in the growth and opportunity of women's sports.

Experience in operations, business leadership, project management, entrepreneurship, sports management, event management, or nonprofit leadership is preferred.

EXPECTATIONS

This is currently an unpaid volunteer executive position. The time commitment will fluctuate throughout the year, with increased involvement leading into and during the football season.

The COO is not expected to do everything. The expectation is to make sure important priorities have an owner, a plan, a deadline, and accountability.
