About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Fiduciary Officer (CFO) to lead the design, governance, and execution of all fiduciary activities within the organization. The CFO will be responsible for ensuring that the company meets its fiduciary duties in accordance with the law, regulatory expectations, and the highest standards of prudence, loyalty, and care. This senior-level role involves close collaboration with the leadership team to align fiduciary oversight with strategic growth, safeguard the firm's reputation, and mitigate risk. The successful candidate will also manage a portfolio of high-complexity trusts, oversee fiduciary risk management, and participate in policy development to drive best practices. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, with a specialized advanced degree (PhD, J.D.) and a CTFA and/or CFP certification preferred. The role requires a deep understanding of fiduciary income tax, estate and gift tax considerations, and a commitment to staying updated on industry trends. The CFO will also be involved in strategic leadership, talent development, and fostering a culture of fiduciary excellence. Key qualifications include the ability to act as a strategic advisor, support business development efforts, and ensure alignment between fiduciary duty and portfolio management practices. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, be adept at leading initiatives to improve operational efficiency, and have experience in mentoring and managing a high-performing fiduciary organization.
