This role will focus on providing comprehensive patient care in a Short Stay Unit with general medicine and surgical patients. You will work in an acute care setting, navigating a fast-paced environment, and applying your skills in handling stroke, trauma, cardiac, and general medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a 13-bed Short Stay Unit
• Manage a patient caseload with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Coordinate care for patients with stroke, trauma, cardiac, and general medical conditions like UTI and COPD
• Collaborate with charge nurses and PCTs for efficient patient management
• Utilize EPIC for patient documentation and charting

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Active IL RN license or application process initiated
• BLS and NIHSS certifications
• General med/surg experience in an acute care setting
