Medical Lab Scientist (MLS)

We are seeking a qualified Medical Lab Scientist to join our team in the Emergency Room Laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will perform point-of-care testing in support of patient care operations while also being willing to undertake clerical duties as assigned by nursing and laboratory directors.

Position Details

Start Date: ASAP

Unit: Emergency Room Laboratory

Schedule: Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) with 12-hour shifts

Travel: 13-week contract with an option to extend to 26 weeks

Location: Ogden, UT

• Staff Composition: Information on day and night shift staff will vary.
• Patient Ratios: To be determined
• Type of Equipment: To be determined
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): To be determined

Qualifications

• Required: Must possess ASCP certification as a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or a Medical Technologist.
• Preferred Skills: Familiarity with point-of-care testing.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in laboratory services is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform point-of-care testing and other laboratory duties as necessary.
• Assist with clerical tasks to support laboratory operations.
