Job Opportunity - Emergency Department RN - Wisconsin

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour evening and night shifts (1500-0330 and 1900-0730), includes weekends and holidays. 4:1 patient ratio. 20 hours orientation provided.

Highlights:

• Level IV Trauma Center and Acute Stroke Ready Center with Pediatric Ready Emergency Department designation
• High-volume facility serving nearly 45,000 patients annually with 140 daily census
• 40 exam rooms plus 19 vertical care spaces with ability to flex an additional 20 rooms during surges
• Epic charting system required
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• Full-spectrum emergency care for all age groups from neonates through geriatrics

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• Two years of Emergency Department experience with both adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years
• Travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), and TNCC certifications
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria apply)
• Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside 50 miles or more from facility
• Floating to other units as needed
