Overview Base pay range: $27.00/hr - $40.00/hr BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Accountant. Location: Fully remote – U.S. only. Anticipated Start Date: ASAP. Expected Duration: 6 Months-Temp to Perm. Job Type: FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY) / HYBRID. Pay Range: $27/hr - $40/hr. Actual compensation may vary within this range based on location, experience, and job responsibilities. About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support cost accounting, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance reporting for the Corporation. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financials, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and supporting internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical problem-solving skills, and experience with government contracting. Key Responsibilities Execute a timely and accurate month-end close process. Record and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts, including intra-company payables and receivables. Perform balance sheet reconciliations within strict deadlines. Support internal control evaluations, documenting and updating accounting procedures as needed. Conduct research and resolve complex reconciliation issues, particularly during month-end close. Provide support to auditors and compliance teams through data mining, reporting, and issue resolution. Collaborate with the Cost and General Ledger Manager on projects and process improvements. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Tools & Systems Microsoft Office Suite (with advanced Excel skills) ERP Systems: IFS, SAP Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience considered. 4+ years of relevant accounting experience. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and cost accounting principles. Experience with government contracting required. CPA designation strongly preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen.
