Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, including their severity, frequency, and impact on daily functioning.

• Work collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans reflective of their specific needs, goals, and treatment preferences.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment methodologies, and effective self-care strategies to improve mental health outcomes.

• Monitor client progress throughout the therapeutic process, regularly re-evaluating and modifying treatment plans in response to their evolving needs.

• Engage in collaborative discussions with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated care, addressing both therapeutic and pharmacological aspects of treatment.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans following legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to refine clinical skills and stay updated on best practices.

• Advocate for clients, encourage de-stigmatization of mental health issues, and empower individuals to seek and accept help as part of their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse group of patients dealing with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. The patients come from various backgrounds, each with unique experiences and challenges, allowing you to apply a range of therapeutic techniques and culturally competent approaches tailored to their individual circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LCMFT, or LPCC in the state of California.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, especially CBT and DBT, designed for mood disorders.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology to facilitate collaboration with psychiatrists and ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• A proven track record of successfully treating clients with mood disorders, demonstrating strong outcomes and client satisfaction.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
