Payroll Administrator

Payroll Administrator The Payroll Administrator will report to the Payroll Manager and be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of multi-company and multi-state payroll, with an emphasis on union payroll administration. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations while maintaining payroll records, auditing payroll data, and resolving employee payroll-related issues. Payroll Processing Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, retroactive payments, and salary adjustments. Administer union payroll in accordance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and applicable pay/wage rates. Maintain accurate payroll records and employee earnings histories. Generate payroll reports and analysis. Payroll Compliance & Tax Administration Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws. Process payroll tax filings, amendments, and corrections. Assist with quarterly and annual reporting. Assist with year-end activities including W-2 preparation and W-2C corrections. Establish employer withholding and State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) accounts in new states. Reconciliation & Auditing Audit payroll data prior to final payroll submission. Reconcile payroll registers, taxes, deductions, and benefit contributions. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, direct deposit issues, and reporting issues. Prepare and distribute termination checks. Work with Payroll Managers and Human Resources as needed for special projects. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 5+ years of payroll administration experience. Union payroll experience. Multi-state payroll and payroll tax experience, with an emphasis on California. Experience with ADP or similar payroll systems (Gusto, Paylocity, etc.) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, etc. Benefits E2 offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off. Wage Data Per State Requirements Salary range for this position is $74,000 - $94,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
