Job Title: Physician OR Clinical Researcher – Internal Medicine Department, Palliative Care Division (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Department: The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center. Join our new Center for Research Excellence in Supportive Care (CREST) at the James Cancer Center / Solove Research Institute and the Section for Pain and Palliative Care Research (SPARC) in the Division of Palliative Medicine. Position/Team Overview We are seeking research faculty to join a growing group of five faculty and one post‑doc focusing on supportive care research. Content areas include aging and cognitive impairment, pain and other symptom management, substance use, medical cannabis in serious illness, particularly cancer. Methodologic strengths include qualitative methods, prospective cohort studies, clinical trials (single‑site pilots and large‑scale multisite trials), and implementation science. Requirements Applicants may be physicians, other doctoral‑level clinicians (e.g., PsyD, DPT), clinical PhDs (e.g., clinical psychologists), or non‑clinical PhDs. Publication record commensurate with faculty rank is expected. Current federal or foundation funding is preferred but not required. Additional Information Early‑career faculty may obtain protected time for career development or R‑series awards. Faculty at all levels receive start‑up support to launch their research program at OSU. We seek individuals passionate about building independent research programs, collaborating with scientists, and mentoring early‑career investigators. Academic rank and track are commensurate with record and experience. OSU offers collaborations across the University, including Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health.
