We are looking for a passionate and dedicated manager to join the team at Thea! 

From Chef Tomer Blechman and team behind Miss Ada, Nili and Theodora, Thea is a bakery and café that serves as a continuation of the work we are doing at Theodora, centered around warm hospitality, fresh baked bread and pastries, and a creative sandwich program.

Who Are You?  
- You're a committed hospitality professional with experience in both coffee and fully service restaurants
- You have some management or other leadership experience
- You've worked in both café and full service restaurants and understand the value of both spaces in a community
- You love high energy, high volume spaces where the team really pushes to improve day after day
- You're a strong hands on leader who is ready to demonstrate how tasks should be done, and take responsibility for the organization and efficient flow of the space

The role is hands on, with the majority of time spent working behind the counter during hours of operations performing duties such as:
- directly interacting with our guests, offering food recommendations, supporting the execution of register and barista roles
- ensuring the dining room and pastry display are tidy, well stocked, and organized
- supporting with the execution of delivery and catering orders
- resolving customer issues
- building relationships with regulars and locals
- supporting the growth of our team through mentorship and training 

Additional administrative duties include: 
- scheduling for the front of house team
- inventory of paper products and perishables
- hiring, onboarding, training new employees and supporting employee growth and performance
- compliance with department of health systems through daily checklists and oversight

This role will be the leader of the front of house team, working closely with our Executive Pastry Chef and Savory Chef on a day to day level to ensure a warm and genuine guest experience. The candidate will be supported by the company’s Director of Operations. 

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to stand for extended periods of time [over 7 hours]
• Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds steadily 
• Be comfortable bending, sitting, walking extended distances including up and down flights of stairs, and moving.
