Whether you’re a recent technical school graduate or a veteran setup machinist, this role lets you contribute immediately and keep advancing. Openings are available in West Milwaukee and Belgium, Wisconsin, and you’ll be placed at the Operator or Setup level based on your background and demonstrated ability.

Compensation

• Operator (Entry Level): $20–$26/hr, DOE
• Setup (Experienced): $24–$30/hr, DOE

What you will handle

Operator — Entry Level

• Operate CNC equipment per work instructions and job travelers
• Load materials/unload finished components safely and efficiently
• Monitor operations; alert leads/supervisors to any issues
• Perform in‑process checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Follow quality, safety, and production procedures
• Complete accurate production and quality documentation
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Learn tooling, machining processes, and setups to move up

Setup — Experienced

• Execute full CNC setups including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and program prove‑out
• Interpret blueprints, travelers, and specifications (basic GD&T)
• Run first‑article inspections and fine‑tune processes
• Troubleshoot setup and machining issues to protect quality and throughput
• Manage tooling selection, wear, and replacement
• Support operators during production runs
• Record setup parameters and changes accurately

All team members

• Raise quality or machine concerns promptly
• Comply with all safety rules, quality standards, and policies
• Engage in continuous improvement and lean activities

Qualifications to join

Operator — Entry Level

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of or enrollment in a technical school, machining, or CNC training program
• Basic machining knowledge and shop math
• Mechanical aptitude and a growth mindset
• Reliable, detail‑focused, and safety‑conscious

Preferred

• Hands‑on CNC exposure from labs, internships, or co‑ops
• Comfort with basic measuring tools

Setup — Experienced

Required

• At least 3 years of CNC setup experience in manufacturing
• Blueprint reading and basic GD&T
• Tooling, fixturing, offsets, and machining process knowledge
• First‑article inspection and process adjustment experience

Preferred

• Experience on multiple machine types (mills and/or lathes)
• Familiarity with CNC controls and program verification

Work setting & physical needs

• Manufacturing environment around industrial equipment
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Repetitive use of hands, arms, and fingers
• Lift up to 50 lbs on occasion
