Position Lead Product Manager, Information Technology Specialist II (JC-519591) Salary $8,625.00 – $11,557.00 per month Location Birkmont Drive, Rancho Cordova, California (hybrid telework available for California residents) Working Conditions The main EIS location is a park-like campus across from the Folsom Lake auto dealerships in Rancho Cordova, close to US Highway 50 and the Hazel light rail station. Free parking is available. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager I in the Offender Management Solutions (OMS) product line, the IT Specialist II will manage the OMS portfolio product line. Responsibilities include performing business analytical tasks related to application development, making substantial decisions on development, support and operations that impact the business, developing and promoting standards, training product owners, and taking projects from concept to operations using Agile methodology. Minimum Requirements Qualifications and minimum requirements are defined in the CDCR Class Specification for Information Technology Specialist II. Desirable Qualifications Experience in MS Suite including Project, PowerPoint, and Visio Experience in Copilot/AI Dev Tools, AI Prompt Engineering Experience with project management charters, plans, schedules, communications, risk and issue analysis Knowledge of methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovery, adjusting, modifying and improving complex IT systems Experience coaching and mentoring team members and knowledge of performance management techniques Ability to direct the research, evaluation, and testing of complex products and systems solutions and make recommendations or decisions Proven track record of delivering working software within specified time frames Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, decision‑making abilities, honesty and dependability while maintaining positive and trusting relationships Experience with cross‑functional project management using Agile, hybrid, and waterfall methodologies Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of staff and management, and communicate effectively with peers, users, developers and non‑technical staff Experience managing large‑size enterprise projects of high risk and visibility Knowledge of complex customer service and support principles in an IT environment Excellent people skills with ability to build collaborative, high‑performing project teams Ability to adapt to changing priorities Equal Employment Opportunity Statement The State of California is an equal opportunity employer to all, regardless of age, ancestry, color, disability, gender, genetic information, marital status, medical condition, military or veteran status, national origin, political affiliation, race, religious creed, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and related medical conditions), and sexual orientation.
