CNC Operator – 2nd Shift

Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM + Overtime as Needed
Type: Full-Time

Schupan is looking for dependable and detail-oriented CNC Operators to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in producing quality parts, and want to grow within a stable and team-focused manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Operate CNC machines and other production equipment according to specifications and work instructions
• Produce parts within established quality standards and tolerances
• Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools including calipers and micrometers
• Monitor machine operation and identify out-of-tolerance conditions or equipment issues
• Perform basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance as needed
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Follow ISO procedures, safety guidelines, and 5S workplace organization standards
• Keep work area clean, organized, and production-ready
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and quality teams to maintain production goals

What We’re Looking For

• Previous manufacturing or CNC experience preferred
• Ability to read measuring tools and perform basic math calculations
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings is a plus

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements
• Frequent bending, lifting, and material handling up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to manufacturing conditions including noise, heat, cold, moving machinery, and industrial equipment
• Must be comfortable working safely in an active production environment
