If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Portage seeking CNC Swiss Lathe Operators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts. Perform in-process inspections using various metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators). Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs. Adjust machine offsets, tooling, and programs to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy. Troubleshoot and resolve machine alarms, minor malfunctions, and tooling issues. Load raw material stock and unload finished parts, ensuring proper handling and organization. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Recommended Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum 2-3 years experience operating CNC Swiss-style lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T. Demonstrated ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine adjustments. Experience with quality inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators). Strong understanding of various metals and cutting tools.
