Temp-to-Perm, Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing organization. This position will assist with transaction processing, accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, and financial recordkeeping to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of accounting principles, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while handling confidential financial information with discretion. Key Responsibilities Record daily financial transactions, including payments, invoices, receipts, and vouchers, within the accounting system. Process and verify vendor invoices and customer payments, ensuring accuracy and timely payment processing. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including follow-up on outstanding accounts as needed. Review expense reports for completeness and accuracy before entering them into the ERP system. Maintain organized digital and physical financial records to support reporting and audit requirements. Perform general office support duties, including preparing deposits, sorting and scanning mail, and assisting with administrative tasks. Support month-end and year-end closing activities as needed, including occasional overtime. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, and organizing data. Familiarity with basic accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting support. Familiarity with accounting software; QuickBooks and Expensify experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and discretion. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.

This is an onsite position in Houston, TX, with the opportunity to transition from temporary to permanent employment. The role reports to the Controller.
