Description

American Traveler is looking for a Home Health Physical Therapist with a minimum of 1 year home health and 2 years overall clinical experience.

Details

• Home health setting covering Contra Costa and potentially surrounding counties
• Patient population includes geriatric home health and wound care patients
• Minimum of 23-24 visits per week required to qualify for 40-hour guarantee
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• On-call is discretionary and not required
• Uses Kinnser/Wellsky for charting; all charting must be completed in clinic and cannot be taken home
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years overall clinical experience required
• Current state license required at time of consideration with no license hits (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• Current driver's license required
• Must have reliable transportation and insurance
• OASIS experience preferred
• Pending licenses are not accepted; valid license must be in hand at time of consideration

• Focus on patient-centered care with emphasis on quality visits over daily patient counts
• Ideal candidates are punctual, self-starters, and detail-oriented with charting
• Any color scrubs accepted with closed-toe shoes required
• Free residential parking available
• COVID vaccination required with religious declination allowed; flu vaccination may be declined with declination form
• Compliance documentation must be completed before start, which may take 2-3 weeks
• All RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; no additional time off requests accepted after offer
• Contract length is 4-6 months; less experienced clinicians must commit to 6 months, non-negotiable
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
