Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental and emotional health, tailoring approaches that resonate with their individual experiences.

• Design, implement, and continually refine treatment plans based on the assessments, in collaboration with clients, to ensure alignment with their goals.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions focused on a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges across various demographics.

• Lead couples therapy sessions, employing effective communication techniques and conflict resolution strategies to enhance interpersonal dynamics.
\n
• Maintain accurate client records, including treatment progress notes and histories, ensuring all documentation meets legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular reviews of treatment plans, adapting as necessary to reflect the evolving needs and progress of clients.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external healthcare professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.

• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, equipping clients in acute distress with immediate support and resources.

• Remain current with the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in marriage and family therapy through continuous professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve supporting a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and couples. You will address an array of mental health issues, enrich relationships, and foster individual growth, impacting families, and communities across Saint Petersburg and beyond.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or an equivalent field accredited by the relevant authorities.

• Active and valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist by the State Board of Florida.
\n
• Demonstrated experience providing therapy to individuals and/or couples with a focus on measurable outcomes.
\n
• Ability to effectively complete client assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans in a timely manner.

• Proficient writing and communication skills, comfortable learning and using electronic health records systems.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical settings that involve direct client interaction.

• Experience working specifically with children and families in therapeutic settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
