Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Verify accuracy of subcontractor proposals/scope of work. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information. Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications. Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor costing Formulate cost breakdown from estimates, and assist PM with costs for negotiations. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications. Ability to work in an office and in the field in a fast-paced environment with variable working hours Ideal candidate will have the desire, ability and ambition to succeed. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Qualifications Previous experience estimating projects into the $5 million range Experience with estimating software and spreadsheet design Understand contractual terms and conditions Ability to use Sage/ Timberline Ability to effectively communicate, verbally/written, with subcontractors, internal and external customers Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the construction field in similar or related position Must have a valid Driver’s License Employee management skills Must have a sense of urgency to meet deadlines Great Customer Service Skills Self-motivated Able to work without direct supervision Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
