Actuarial Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Actuarial Analyst / Associate (near qualification) to join our team in the Life Insurance and Annuities domain . The role focuses on actuarial modeling, valuation, pricing, and risk analysis for life and annuity products. The candidate will support financial reporting, experience analysis, and model development while working closely with cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities Actuarial Valuation & Reporting Support valuation of life insurance and annuity liabilities (reserves, technical provisions) Assist in financial reporting under statutory and regulatory frameworks (e.g., IFRS 17, Solvency regimes) Perform experience analysis (mortality, lapse, expenses) Support embedded value / profitability analysis Assist in pricing and product development for life and annuity products Perform profitability testing and scenario analysis Incorporate product features, assumptions, and regulatory requirements into pricing models Modeling & Data Analysis Work with actuarial models (Prophet, AXIS, or similar platforms) Perform data extraction, validation, and transformation Develop and maintain actuarial models and tools Apply statistical techniques to analyze trends and assumptions Support risk monitoring and sensitivity analysis Analyze key drivers such as interest rates, longevity, and policyholder behavior Process Improvements Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization Support development of controls and quality checks Assist in improving efficiency of actuarial workflows Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate with finance, risk, product, and underwriting teams Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and structured manner Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field Associate (ASA/FSA) OR near qualification (majority of actuarial exams cleared) 10+ years of actuarial experience, preferably in Life Insurance / Annuities Experience in life insurance valuation, pricing, or reporting Exposure to IFRS 17, Embedded Value, or Solvency frameworks Hands‑on experience in actuarial tools (Prophet, AXIS, MG‑ALFA, etc.) Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, R, or Python Understanding of mortality, longevity, lapse, and economic assumptions What we offer: EXL Analytics offers an exciting, fast paced and innovative environment, which brings together a group of sharp and entrepreneurial professionals who are eager to influence business decisions.
