About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Accounting to take on a pivotal role in overseeing all accounting, tax, treasury, and compliance functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring GAAP compliance, and contributing to the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. This includes tasks such as managing cash flow, overseeing tax filings, and implementing internal controls. The role also involves leading a team, so strong leadership and relationship-building skills are essential. Applicants for the Vice President of Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent, a CPA license, and at least 10 years' experience as a Corporate Controller in both public and private company environments. The ideal candidate will have a background in technical accounting, external reporting, and be proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Key responsibilities for this role include managing all aspects of the accounting department's operations, future SEC reporting, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. The role also requires the candidate to be adept at managing significant accounting policies and to have experience in hiring, training, and managing accounting staff.
