Independent Golf Sales Representative (1099) - Green Grass

About the role

Tervis is looking for an independent, commission-based sales representative to grow our presence in green grass golf: private clubs, resort and public courses, and golf academies.

Tervis has made insulated drinkware in Venice, Florida, since 1946. Our tumblers, water bottles and mugs are customizable with club logos, embroidered patches and full-color designs, which makes them a natural fit for pro shops, member events, tournaments and corporate outings.

You will own the relationships with golf professionals, merchandisers and buyers in your territory, opening new accounts and growing existing ones.

What you'll do

• Prospect and open new green grass accounts: private and semi-private clubs, resorts, daily-fee courses and practice facilities.

• Grow existing accounts through regular visits, seasonal reorders and new product introductions.

• Present Tervis customization options (logo decoration, embroidered patches, tournament and member-event programs) to head professionals, merchandisers and buyers.

• Write orders, manage pipeline and report progress monthly.

• Sell into tournaments, member-guest events, corporate outings and holiday gifting programs.

• Represent Tervis at regional PGA section shows, buying events and trade shows as scheduled.

• Help accounts with merchandising, displays and sell-through so product keeps moving off the shelf.

• Share market feedback on competitors, pricing and product requests with the Tervis golf team.

• Follow Tervis pricing, brand, minimum order and credit policies.

Required Experience:

What you bring

Required

• 3+ years selling green grass golf accounts as an independent or company rep.

• Established relationships with PGA professionals, pro shop buyers and merchandisers in the territory.

• A track record of opening accounts and hitting sales targets.

• Ability to run your own business: planning, travel, expenses and record keeping.

• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and willingness to travel in the territory.

• Comfort with email, order-entry tools, and mobile ordering apps.

• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Preferred

• A complementary, non-competing golf line already in your bag (apparel, headwear, accessories, gifts).

• Experience selling logo or custom-decorated products.

• Experience with tournaments, outing and corporate gifting programs.

• PGA, LPGA or golf industry background.
