Essential contributions in this position include guiding students through academic, career, and personal challenges, utilizing thoughtful assessment strategies to set and monitor individualized goals, and offering mediation in times of student conflict. You’ll evaluate student progress, provide specific feedback, and maintain detailed records while guarding the confidentiality of students and staff.

Collaboration plays a key role as you’ll consult with teachers, administrators, and parents, participate in curriculum development and committees, and assist with referrals for specialized services. You’ll help students navigate important transitions and create a welcoming, engaging atmosphere that empowers every learner. Additionally, maintaining your licensure and continually pursuing professional growth will be part of your ongoing commitment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
• Completion of a state-approved Counselor Preparation Program
• Ability to secure and maintain valid licensure and/or endorsements as outlined by state and school board policy
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across disciplines
• Ability to assess and respond to diverse student needs with professionalism and integrity
