Radiology Technologist

Schedule
Four 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Assignment Details

Requirements
- A.S. Degree preferred but not required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred; must obtain within one year from date of hire
- Massachusetts License to practice Radiologic Technology required
- CPR Certification required
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English; additional languages preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge

Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate demographic information and high-quality images for CT and Mammography exams.
- Perform daily quality assurance (QA) for CT and Mammography to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Operate the hospital PACS system to ensure correct image transmission for radiologist readings.
- Review physician orders to confirm the correct examinations are performed based on clinical history.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and reduce fall risks, especially for elderly patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, taking into account potential hearing and comprehension difficulties.
