Staff Accountant

Our client in St. Petersburg is seeking a detail-oriented onsite, direct hire Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role blends core accounting responsibilities with hands-on accounts receivable functions. Key Responsibilities Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, cash applications, collections, and resolving billing discrepancies Prepare and maintain AR aging reports and support collection efforts with internal teams Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Support bank reconciliations and cash reporting Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer billing and payment issues Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Assist with additional accounting and reporting tasks as needed Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 3+ years of full cycle accounting experience Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations Proficiency with accounting systems and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP preferred) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Salary Range $70-80K #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
