Client Partner

Overview Parallel is a product studio where we help our clients build better products, faster. We focus on planning and designing high-impact products — ones that are citizen-focused, affect tons of people, and/or tackle important problems. Our Client Partners are part business development, part product/design leaders, part quality assurance, and part diplomats. They are champions of building connections and excellent products, nurturing existing client relationships while constantly building new ones. Role & Responsibilities Participates in calls with new prospects to determine if there is a good fit and opportunity. Finds opportunities to expand engagements and nurtures relationships over time in order to build long-term, recurring client engagements. Communicates and sells the Parallel process and methodology. Gathers required information regarding project description and deliverables. Collaborates with the leadership & teams to create the estimate and proposal. Negotiates the terms of a proposal and comes to a mutually beneficial agreement. Owns communication between our team and the decision-making client, including a minimum of bi-weekly status calls and monthly in-person meetings. Ensures that the client's needs are being met throughout the project lifecycle and their concerns are addressed through best-in-class work and processes. Responsible for revenue realization and forecasting for all assigned accounts. Some travel is required to client sites. Skills & Abilities 5+ years experience in a Client Relationship or Account Director role, preferably in a top-tier consultancy in product design, software development, or digital marketing. Exceptional interpersonal skills – people like you. Ability to make a great first impression and maintain that impression, building genuine, lasting relationships with clients, not just closing deals. Able to pitch Parallel to clients with confidence, clarity, and credibility. Ability to identify risks in a relationship and work with the extended service team to mitigate these risks before they impact a client. Experience having hard conversations with clients, and delivering both good and bad news to the client and internal teams.
