The role supports the delivery of Sanofi’s therapeutic strategy, captures actionable insights from health care providers (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs), and ultimately supports improved health for patients. Main Responsibilities Serve as the trusted scientific partner to key external experts, conducting timely, appropriate, and frequent scientific exchanges to enhance the understanding of the scientific and medical value of our products. Generate actionable and valuable insights and propose solutions. Create cross‑functional partnerships and collaborate with internal stakeholders. Execute the therapeutic area medical plan. Ensure compliance with local and corporate frameworks for external and internal interactions and complete all mandatory trainings. Scientific Engagement and Exchange (60%) Build and develop enduring needs‑based peer‑to‑peer relationships with HCPs and KOLs within academic institutions. Understand HCP/KOL perspectives and needs to adapt scientific content that is relevant and valued. Act as a partner to identify mutual collaboration areas and develop and implement territory‑specific strategic medical action plans aligned with the country medical plan. Communicate accurately, fairly, and balanced information on benefits, risks, appropriate use, and clinical value of our products. Operate independently, building health‑care networks that navigate national, regional, and local health‑care environments. Insight Generation (20%) Generate and share actionable insights and propose timely solutions using appropriate tools. Gather data, facts, and observations on the external health‑care environment and communicate them to internal teams to support medical strategy and KOL/HCP voice. Internal Collaboration (10%) Work closely with office‑based medical colleagues to shape, develop, and co‑execute the country medical plan. Develop and maintain an internal stakeholder network. Provide scientific support for commercial, market‑access, regulatory/PV, and R&D functions regarding scientific training and updates. Training/Compliance (10%) Complete all MSL SOP trainings and other corporate compliance trainings. Complete the MSL onboarding (and certification) program. Incorporate best practice of the Scientific Engagement Model and Insights process. Continuously develop technical therapy‑area expertise and advanced transversal skills aligned to job competency. Create an individual development plan aligned with career aspirations. About You Basic Qualifications Medical, Pharmacy, or postgraduate science degree (e.g., PharmD, MD/DO, DNP, PhD, PA). At least 2 years experience in a field‑medical role or the pharmaceutical industry, or clinical experience in Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and/or immunology. Live in the current territory or willing to relocate and have strong understanding of the healthcare landscape of the territory. Preferred Qualifications Fluency in spoken and written business English. In‑depth knowledge and clinical experience of diabetes disease state, the therapeutic area, relevant portfolio products, and pipeline. Strong communication and presentation skills to simplify complex topics and facilitate networking across internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with omnichannel tools and ability to communicate via digital channels from a remote environment. Understanding of clinical development and clinical research, with ability to evaluate protocols, reports, and publications. Knowledge of pharmacovigilance and local regulatory processes and their impact on the product portfolio. Strong business acumen and ability to build strategic plans and implement medical initiatives. Commitment to integrity and ethics, adhering to high standards. Valid driver’s license in the USA, safe driving record, and ability to pass a background check.
