ABOUT THE TEAM We're a small team solving a big problem. Business fraud costs the financial system billions every year, and the tools built to fight it are slow, expensive, and outdated. We're changing that. You'd be joining a small, close-knit team where ownership is real, customer impact is immediate, and the work you ship matters from day one. ABOUT THE ROLE Baselayer is growing, and we're looking for a Technical Recruiter to help us hire the people who will define the company. You'll be owning full-cycle talent acquisition across Engineering, Product, and Design roles. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role — you'll work directly with founders and hiring managers to build a bar-raising hiring process and bring exceptional people into the team. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own full-cycle recruiting for roles across Engineering, Product and Design — from sourcing through offer close Partner closely with founders and hiring managers to define role requirements, build scorecards, and maintain a high hiring bar Build and manage sourcing strategies to proactively identify top talent through LinkedIn, referrals, events, and creative outreach Manage candidate experience end-to-end, ensuring every candidate has a respectful, clear, and timely process Maintain and improve our ATS, keeping pipelines clean and data accurate Develop and iterate on interview processes that are structured, fair, and predictive of on-the-job success Contribute to employer brand efforts — help tell the Baselayer story to attract candidates who are excited about our mission Track recruiting metrics and report on pipeline health, time-to-fill, and quality of hire MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally at a high-growth startup or in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated success hiring across Engineering and/or Product roles Strong sourcing skills — you know how to find and engage passive candidates, not just manage inbound Excellent communication and organizational skills; you run a tight, candidate-friendly process Experience with an ATS (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, or similar) Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter WORK LOCATION Based in NYC; hybrid - 4 days per week in office.
