Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCSW at Serenity Mindscape, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to assist in their unique challenges.

• Employing recognized therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to facilitate healing and personal growth among students.

• Maintaining comprehensive and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with all state and federal regulations, ensuring the highest level of ethics and professionalism.

• Collaborating with educators, school psychologists, and other mental health professionals to deliver holistic care that addresses both academic and emotional wellbeing of students.
\n
• Engaging in case consultations and peer reviews to enhance service quality and share best practices amongst colleagues.
\n
• Providing education and support to clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment methodologies, and community resources to empower them towards recovery.
\n
• Staying informed on the latest mental health research to continuously improve service delivery and adaptation of best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children, adolescents, and their families dealing with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, social skills deficits, and trauma-related challenges. This role requires a strong commitment to understanding and addressing the specific needs of the school-aged population, as well as the ability to foster trust and rapport with young clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution, demonstrating your commitment to the field and adherence to high academic standards.

• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State, validating your professional qualifications and competency in this domain.

• Minimum of three years of clinical experience providing mental health services, showcasing your depth of knowledge and practical skills in the field.

• Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic techniques and flexible in tailoring your approach to meet the diverse needs of clients.
