About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's next chapter of growth and impact. The CFO will be a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, responsible for translating ambitious goals into a forward-looking financial strategy. This includes overseeing all aspects of the finance function, from accounting to financial planning and analysis, and ensuring the financial health and long-term sustainability of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in accounting, a proven track record in enterprise financial strategy, and experience in leading finance within complex, multi-entity organizations. Key responsibilities for the CFO will include modernizing financial infrastructure, optimizing core financial systems, and leading a team to build a more integrated, data-driven, and scalable finance function. The successful CFO will be an enterprise builder and operational leader, with a commitment to fiscal stewardship and a collaborative, empowering leadership style. They will be expected to deepen the partnership between finance and the people team, and to build financial acumen across the organization. A deep commitment to the mission and values of the company is essential, as is the ability to build trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels. While not required, experience in the education or nonprofit sector is helpful. The role offers a unique opportunity to influence enterprise strategy and organizational effectiveness, and to expand opportunities for students across the city.
