Staff Accountant | KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting This is a full-time Staff Accountant role located in Burlington, MA. This position is vital for supporting the comprehensive accounting functions of a company with both corporate entities and a portfolio of commercial retail properties. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting timely reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early career professional to gain broad experience across various accounting disciplines. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: In-person, Burlington, MA Pay: $55000–$65000 yearly Mission: To support corporate and property accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial close processes, reporting, and compliance. What You’ll Actually Do Close & Journal Entries: Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes by preparing and posting journal entries with supporting documentation. Balance Sheet & Cash Management: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with corporate cash management activities and reconciliations. Property Accounting Operations: Manage the accounting for commercial retail properties, including processing tenant receipts, handling billings, and reconciling operating expenses. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare corporate and property financial statements, contribute to management reporting packages, and conduct variance analyses. Audit & Process Improvement: Provide essential documentation for annual audits and tax preparation while identifying opportunities to enhance accounting processes and efficiencies. The Must-Haves Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Entry‑level career experience. Experience: 0‑2 years of general accounting experience.
