Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by providing specialized academic support as a Special Education Resource Teacher. In this role, you'll support learners who primarily participate in general education but also need individualized instruction and IEP-based services.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required
• Active Special Education teaching certification (Illinois)
• Experience providing resource or inclusion-based instruction in elementary settings
• Thorough understanding of IEP development, accommodations, and modifications
• Strong ability to collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families
• Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized academic interventions, accommodations, and modifications to students in K-5
• Support access to general education curriculum through both push-in and pull-out models
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals with measurable outcomes
• Participate in IEP meetings and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Track student progress, complete required documentation, and communicate improvement with families and staff
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment focused on maximizing student potential
