This position is responsible for managing all aspects of meetings and events, from initial client inquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring seamless execution and high levels of guest satisfaction. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating event details with clients, preparing Banquet Event Orders, collaborating with sales, catering, and operations teams, and overseeing room setups, audio-visual needs, and food and beverage service. The role also involves monitoring event timelines, resolving issues in real time, and maintaining clear communication with internal departments and external vendors. The Conference Services Manager will analyze event performance, support revenue and upselling opportunities, and ensure all events align with InterContinental brand standards and safety guidelines. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Conference Services and Convention Services skills, with experience coordinating complex meetings and events. Candidates should possess Meeting Planning and Event Planning abilities, including attention to detail, timeline management, and logistics coordination. Candidates should possess a focus on Customer Satisfaction, with proven ability to build client relationships and respond effectively to guest needs. Candidates should possess excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. Candidates should possess proficiency in event management or hotel systems, as well as basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Candidates should possess prior experience in hotel conference services, catering, or event management; experience in luxury or upscale hospitality is preferred. Candidates should possess a high level of professionalism and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
