Sales Development Role

This isn't just a BDR job. It's an apprenticeship into a real sales career.

We're a small, close-knit facility services company in the South Bay, and we're looking for someone who wants to grind for six months to a year, learn the craft of selling from the ground up, and earn their way into a full sales role. This isn't a revolving-door BDR seat where you dial numbers and get forgotten. It's a mentorship program with a real, achievable path to promotion, built by people who actually want to see you succeed.

We don't care if your only experience is in hospitality, retail, or digging ditches. If you're engaging and persuasive, if you've got hustle and you're coachable, and you're willing to put in the work now for a bigger payoff later, we want to talk to you.

For your first several months, you'll be an apprentice as much as a BDR. Every appointment you set, you'll sit in on the entire sales process with the salesperson, from the first handshake to the signed contract. You'll see how a deal gets qualified, how objections get handled, how a proposal gets built, and how a close actually happens. You'll be studying sales books alongside your day-to-day work, and we'll be walking through them with you, not just handing you a reading list and disappearing.

The goal isn't to keep you in this seat forever. The goal is to grow you into a sales role once you've hit agreed-upon benchmarks, which we'll set with you clearly from day one so there's no guessing about where you stand.

What you'll be doing:

• Prospecting and outreach to build a pipeline of qualified opportunities
• Setting appointments with decision-makers at target accounts
• Qualifying appointments against a clear scorecard before they go to a salesperson
• Shadowing sales calls, all the way through the close
• Studying assigned sales books/videos and discussing them with your manager
• Tracking your own activity and results, and owning your progress toward promotion benchmarks

The path to promotion:

This is a 6 to 12 month apprenticeship. We'll set clear, achievable benchmarks with you around activity, quality of appointments, and pipeline contribution. Hit them, and you move into a full sales role with full earning potential.

Compensation:

• Base salary: $65,000
• Commission: Uncapped with a target of at least $41,000
• $100 per qualified appointments set
• 20% of the first month's contract revenue on closed deals
• One-time milestone bonus: when you hit your promotion benchmarks
• OTE: $106,000

What we're looking for:

• Someone who can grind. This is real work, and the first stretch is the hardest.
• Coachable. You'll be learning from people who've done this for years and want to teach you.
• Comfortable with rejection and persistent anyway.
• Genuinely curious about how sales works.
• Someone who wants to be part of a small team, not just a seat in a big org chart.
