Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | 36 or 48 hours/week options available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an inpatient Innovation Design Unit (IDU) focused on adult medical-surgical patients within a primary nursing care model
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 (days) and 1:5–6 (nights), managing a designated group of patients independently
• Administer and manage IV drips as required across all floors
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including care techs, CNAs, transport teams, and paramedics/swoop staff
• Participate in and support ongoing care innovation projects including virtual nursing, ambient monitoring, and interactive patient experience platforms
• Float frequently to other units and campuses to meet facility staffing needs — travelers are first to float

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (or pending Nebraska RN license — if license is not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled approximately six weeks out)
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required , obtained at a large, urban hospital or Level I Academic Medical Center
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
• IV drip management experience required
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience working in a progressive care or step-down environment
• Familiarity with virtual nursing technology, real-time location systems (RTLS), or similar healthcare innovation platforms
