Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, prioritize, and delegate all flower processing activities, including harvest intake, buckdown, trimming, sorting, curing, and product preparation according to the annual cultivation schedule.
• Ensure production goals and deadlines are met by effectively planning daily workflow and staffing assignments.
• Set up processing areas at the beginning of each shift, ensuring all required tools, supplies, and materials are stocked and available.
• Inspect and prepare work areas, including freezers and designated processing spaces, before production begins.
• Supervise full-time, temporary, and contract employees assigned to flower processing operations.
• Train employees on flower processing techniques, handling procedures, quality standards, sanitation practices, and SOP compliance.
• Monitor employee productivity and performance, providing coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
• Track employee work hours and ensure compliance with meal and rest break requirements.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment.
• Ensure compliance with all METRC requirements and internal inventory control procedures.
• Track and maintain accurate METRC plant and package tag records throughout harvesting and processing activities.
• Utilize METRC, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, and internal tracking systems to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Perform daily data entry and maintain harvest cycle spreadsheets, productivity reports, inventory records, and processing documentation.
• Ensure METRC tags are properly removed, labeled, stored, and retained according to company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine quality control inspections throughout processing activities to ensure products meet established standards.
• Verify proper flower sizing, trichome preservation, handling practices, and product classification according to SOPs.
• Train and coach employees on processing techniques that optimize product quality and maintain product integrity.
• Oversee curing activities and determine product readiness for packaging using established SOPs and sensory evaluation.
• Coordinate with Packaging and Manufacturing teams to forecast available inventory and product readiness.
• Maintain strict sanitation, cleanliness, and biosecurity standards throughout all processing areas.
• Ensure tools, workstations, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to SOPs.
• Collect, track, and dispose of green waste in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Accurately weigh, record, label, and store processed flower according to SOPs.
• Organize packaged bins by cultivar and harvest group for downstream manufacturing and packaging operations.
• Transfer and store product in designated freezer and storage locations while maintaining inventory accuracy and traceability.
• Communicate labor needs, workflow updates, material requirements, inventory concerns, and employee issues to management.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Experience in cannabis cultivation, harvest, processing, or manufacturing operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of METRC and inventory tracking systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP or similar inventory management software preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and motivate employees while maintaining accountability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in processing, freezer, and cultivation-related environments.
• Ability to maintain focus on detailed inventory tracking, quality control, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with standard computer software, inventory tracking systems, and data entry.
