Make an impact this school year by lending your expertise as a Special Education Teacher for a contract role running from September 15, 2026, to October 27, 2026. You’ll work onsite, supporting a welcoming learning environment as you cover a leave, with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule totaling 35 hours each week. Qualifications:
- Valid and active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License
- All additional certifications required by the state or district
- Previous experience teaching students with special needs preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to create inclusive lessons and adapt instruction to meet individual learning plans
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and adapt curriculum for students with a range of abilities and needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and families to foster student growth
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district guidelines
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment
