Payroll Administrator

This family-oriented team is seeking a Payroll Administrator for a 100% in-office role where accuracy, reliability, and strong Excel skills will play an important role in supporting day-to-day payroll operations. Responsibilities Process payroll using internal timekeeping systems and a third-party payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, benefits, deductions, exemptions, and per diems. Generate payroll reports including earnings, deductions, and leave summaries. Handle unemployment claims and related documentation. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll questions. Ensure payroll processes follow internal policies and compliance standards. Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2 and 1095 preparation. Support travel and lodging coordination for field teams as needed. Assist with additional administrative or payroll-related tasks when required. Collaborates closely with HR, accounting, operations, and the payroll provider. Qualifications Prior payroll processing experience required. Experience supporting payroll in construction, contracting, or similar industries preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment. Education background in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus. Experience with construction payroll or timekeeping systems (such as Foundation Payroll) is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
